My friend Megan Pinch and I made two web books with her visuals and my words and drawings during college.
The original intent of the "Untitleds" was to have a parallel story told through images that, at random, relied more heavily on words or visuals. So for each full poem set on a more obscured background, there is a companion slide of one line of the poem over a picture that more clearly fills up more of the canvas. The name of it was a play on how although you could leave something as untitled, on a web page, there was a title embedded into it regardless within the URL address. Mind you, this was when the internet was first created. "Sleep of Life" was our first attempt, and we set up the main page like a clock. As you went clockwise, the images became closer and the words became sparser.
